2011 The Year of The Cake

After a whole year of baking one cake a month, I’d say I’ve learned a few things. Just judging from the from the first few photos to the last few photos, I’d say I acquired a little more skill too. I only had to re-make one cake for lack of chemistry (The Beet Cake), and only one of them tasted really, truly awful (The Caramel Cake). I think The Hummingbird Cake or The Lemon Poppy Seed Pound Cake were my favorite. You will notice that I really took a positive turn around May, as did a camera upgrade. So, without further ado, here they are…

    Love it Whitney! What a great experiment. Although, I’m afraid I would gain ten pounds if I were to do it!!
