Last year, every month I baked a cake. This year, every month I’m going to make a pie! I found that the year of the cake gave me an opportunity to make a bunch of cakes I wouldn’t have made otherwise. Pineapple Upside Down, Key Lime Cake, Beet Cake, etc. Hopefully, the year of the pie will do the same! I’ll be sure to incorporate lots of funky ingredients. And I hope, by the end of the year, I’ll be able to whip up some homemade dough with the best of ’em.
