Yellow in the Garden

February 28, 2012

This is the time of year, as spring approaches and the weather warms up, that life starts popping up out of the ground. I’ve noticed a theme, that most of the first flowers popping up are yellow. Canary, mustard, dandelion, celery, or lemon… I wonder if there’s a scientific reason these yellow guys jump up first. These are Crocuses and Yellowbell at Claire’s house in Nashville and Daffodils from my backyard. Hell-o Springtime!

PS – Did you see my purple crocuses on my Instagram over the weekend?
