Thank you to everyone who has checked in on me the past few days and weeks. I’ve been MIA this past week because my sweet Grandma has been in the hospital for going on four weeks now. I have been traveling back and forth to visit my family and my Grandma in North Carolina and it has been hard to keep blogging – much less to feel good about blogging seemingly unimportant things.
I love my Granmda more than I can say. She is a woman I have tremendous respect for. She raised three children pretty much by herself. She was an Anatomy and Physiology professor at Lenior Rhyne University. She started the cardiac rehabilitation program. She kept us healthy and active. She helped raise my sister and I – with my wonderful Mom, of course. She makes me laugh all the time and has the best sense of humor. She is silly. She is loving. She gives really good hugs. I always thought we were closer than most Grandma-Mom-Daughter(x2) foursomes, but this has cemented my beliefs. We are blessed.
I hesitated to say anything because my sweet Grams reads my blog and I didn’t want her to read this when she got out of the hospital and be embarrassed. But I do want to ask for prayers and good thoughts for my sweet Grams, and I don’t think she’d mind that one bit.
We are blessed with great friends and family who have surrounded my Mom and family, and Allen and I, with love, prayers, care packages, meals, beds to sleep in, car rides to drive on, and so much more. Thank you.
