4th of July Blueberry Mojito

Next up, to enjoy your 4th of July holiday, whip up one of these delicious drinks and sit by the pool for a few hours! This blueberry mojito recipe is really light and fresh. Plus, if I can make it, I promise it’s easy. And perfect for the 4th of July!

Now that my sister, Anna, lives with us, we are definitely cooking more and making lots of different recipes. Anna is really interested in nutrition and healthy cooking, so we’ve been kicking it up a notch in the kitchen department.

Here’s how we made them.


Recipe
1/2 cup mint leaves
1 cup blueberries
6 tablespoons honey
6 limes, juiced

1 1/2 cups rum
2 cups club soda
2 cups limeade

Directions 

Muddle blueberries and mint together, put in a karaf or pitcher. Mix together rum, club soda, lime juice and limeade and pour over blueberry mixture. Stir in honey. Add ice and a sprig of mint and voila!

I took these to our family dinner on Sunday and they were gone in the first 30 minutes, so I think that’s a good sign! The crushed blueberry guts is the best part, I think. Especially if you made the drink a day in advance and let all the flavors really meld together. Sluuuuurp!
