Cycle to Farm

August 9, 2013

What’s the perfect combination of fresh food, being outdoors and riding bikes? I think I found it! Both my parents and Allen’s parents have taken on cycling as a favorite hobby over the past few years and they’re always off on adventures finding new places to ride. A couple of weekends ago my parents trekked up to the mountains of Black Mountain, North Carolina to ride through a farmers market. It’s the neatest thing!

Cyclists stop at farms along the way for tastes and samples. You can buy what you taste and the organizers will meet you at the finish line with your purchases from each “Farm Stop.”

Each Farm Stop looks like a little party to me! Read more about Cycle to Farm and their upcoming rides on their website and Facebook page here.

How gorgeous is this one? I’ll be honest, I probably wouldn’t get back on my bike after eating and drinking and admiring the farmlands. I’d likely just sit and stay a while!

PS – Thanks for the photos, Mom!
