Have you heard of Pinrose Perfume? It’s an online perfume shop, started by two Stanford School of Business alums. You can read about it here. My dad sent me the article last week and I was immediately hooked. Except for the vintage bottle of Hermès that I use sparingly, I could really use a new scent! Here’s why Pinrose sounds so appealing.
I’m usually not all that interested in finding a new perfume, mostly because I hate walking into department stores, where the smell is too strong and the salesladies are too pushy. But Pinrose has a new idea for perfume shopping: a great online shop and a technology twist. You can take this quiz that uses an algorithm to pick out three scents that should appeal to you. With that overbearing department store in mind, doesn’t this online interaction sound so nice? I took the quiz and Pinrose suggested these three scents: Renegade Starlet, Rooftop Socialite and Sugar Bandit. The process was so seamless and fun, I immediately ordered the free samples they suggested at the end of the quiz. I’ll let you know how they smell!
