And last but definitely not least, we have to tour the detached studio. I am so excited about this little space I can’t even handle it! I was so excited to photograph the house and studio, silly me, I didn’t get any photos of the backyard! (I know, I can hardly believe it.) I’ll get some this weekend, but in the meantime, here’s a photo of the back deck (from the listing) so you can see the space.
When you walk out the back door from the kitchen, there’s an L-shaped deck that runs the width of the house and out to the right, leading you to the studio. Isn’t it precious! The fence gate opens between the house and the studio to put you into the driveway. I can’t believe how perfect the back deck is! Can’t you image having parties and spending long summer nights out here? Oh my goodness. The best.
Let’s get back to the studio. It’s awesome. It has black and white linoleum floors, wide paneling (that we’ll paint white), and big windows and doors to let in lots of light. I can’t wait to make this an awesome work space.
I’m going to set up the white Ikea Expedits like I had in our old house, where the sunroom served as my office space. I’ve been envisioning a long work table on the left, storage on the back wall and a desk area on the right. Ah, I can’t wait.
Thank you for touring the new house with me this week. We’ve got some work to do to make this house our home! First, we unpack.
